Icing Ingredients

Confectioners' Sugar Buttermilk Vanilla Extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees & lightly spray or brush a doughnut pan with cooking oil.

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, & salt.

Step 2

In a small bowl, lightly whisk eggs. Add in buttermilk, melted butter, & vanilla & whisk until combined.

Step 3

Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined, taking care not to over-mix

Step 4

Fill each cavity in the doughnut pan about ¾ of the way with batter.

Step 5

You can either use a pastry bag or put batter in a plastic bag, cut off the corner, & squeeze into  pan.


Bake donuts for 10-13 minutes, until they're light & springy to touch.

Step 6

Whisk all icing ingredients together.

Step 7

Once doughnuts are cooled, dip upside-down in icing to coat. Set on wire rack & add sprinkles if desired.

Step 8

These easy Butternut Donuts are the most perfect baked donuts... They're incredibly tender, moist, & sweet!
