Cadbury Creme Egg  Ice Cream

This simple vanilla ice cream has chopped Cadbury Creme Eggs mixed in, making for the most delicious Easter ice cream treat!

Makes: 1 1/2 quarts Prep: 30 mins. Cook: 10 mins. Chill: 6 hours

Heat cream, milk, sugar, & salt over medium heat. Stir constantly, until mixture just reaches the point of simmer.

Make Base

Lightly whisk egg yolks in separate heat-proof bowl. Slowly pour 1/2 warm milk/cream into bowl with egg yolks, whisking constantly.

Pour egg mixture back into pan with milk. Continue to cook over low heat, while whisking. Continue until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of the spoon.

Strain egg/milk mixture into a separate large bowl and stir in vanilla. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Roughly chop Cadbury Creme Eggs.

Chop Candy

Process in ice cream maker according to instructions, mixing in Cadbury Creme Egg pieces when ice cream is almost done processing.

Process Ice Cream

Remove ice cream to airtight containers & freezefor at least 6 hours to continue to harden.

Chill Ice Cream

This Cadbury Creme Egg Ice Cream will delight any Easter candy fans. Be sure to top with extra Cadbury Eggs!
