Candy Cane Jello Shots

Looking for a deliciously boozy holiday party treat? These Candy Cane Jello Shots are red and white layered jello squares made with vodka and peppermint schnapps!

Makes:  36 small jello shots Prep Time: 45 mins Chill Time: 6 hours


– Cherry Jello – Unflavored gelatin – Vodka – Sweetened condensed milk – Peppermint schnapps – Boiling water – Cold water

Lightly spray an 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Prep Recipe

In a small bowl, mix together 1 box cherry Jello, ½ envelope gelatin & 1 cup boiling water. Stir to completely dissolve gelatins. Stir in in ¼ cup vodka.

Make Red Layer

Pour into prepared pan & place in the fridge to set, about 20 mins.


Pour sweetened condensed milk into a bowl. Into a smaller bowl, add 2 packets gelatin & pour ½ cup cold water over it. Let sit for 2 mins & pour in 1 cup boiling water. Stir.

Make White Layer

Pour gelatin mixture into bowl with milk. Stir in peppermint schnapps. Let cool to room temp.

Make White Layer

Pour ⅓ of white mixture (about 1 cup) over chilled red layer. Place in the fridge to set, about 20 mins.


Repeat red layer mixing instructions. Cool & pour over white layer. Chill. Pour ½ of remaining white mix over red layer. Chill.

Continue Layering

 Mix 3rd red layer, cool, & pour over white layer. Chill 20 mins. Pour remaining white mix over red layer. Chill. Mix final red layer, cool, & pour.

Continue Layering

Chill entire dish for 4 hours or overnight before inverting dish onto a cutting board to remove jello & slicing.

Chill & Slice

Top squares with whipped cream & crushed candy canes and/or sprinkles right before serving.


These Candy Cane Jello Shots are so fun to bring to holiday parties! You can omit the alcohol if you prefer.
