Hawaiian Roll French Toast

Yes! You can make french toast with any type of brea & using Hawaiian rolls will become your favorite way! It's crispy on the outside & fluffy & tender on the inside. Delicious!

Ingredients:

– Large eggs – Milk – Vanilla extract – Ground cinnamon – Salt – Nutmeg – Unsalted butter – Hawaiian Rolls: I use King's Hawaiian brand – Toppings of choice

Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally.

Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, & nutmeg in a wide, deep bowl.

Make Mixture

Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat & brush with butter.

Heat Griddle

Dip Hawaiian rolls in egg/milk mixture until saturated & shake off excess.

Dip Rolls

Place rolls on heated griddle & cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Cook

Flip & cook for another 2-3 minutes on other side, until golden brown.

Cook

Remove to a plate & keep warm while you continue cooking rolls. Add more butter to griddle as needed.

Cook

Sprinkle powdered sugar over Hawaiian roll french toast & drizzle on maple syrup, if desired.
