Hot Honey  Wings

For Sweet Heat Lovers!

Hot honey is the popular condiment on the block right now & for good reason! The sweet heat is so delicious & it works perfectly on these easy baked chicken wings. Enjoy the hot honey wings as a game day appetizer or as dinner with a veggie side.

Bake Time: 10 Mins

Ingredients

– Chicken Wings (cut into drumettes & wingettes) – Baking powder – Paprika – Garlic powder – Salt & pepper – Hot honey – Sriracha: or the hot sauce of your choice  – Apple cider vinegar – Red pepper flakes: for topping – Scallions: for topping

Heat oven to 450, line baking sheet with foil, & place wire rack sprayed lightly with cooking spray on it.

Step 1

Pat chicken wings with paper towels, getting rid of as much moisture as possible. Place in large bowl.

Step 2

Sprinkle wings with baking powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, & pepper. Toss to coat wings.

Step 3

Arrange wings on prepared wire rack, leaving a little bit of space between them.

Step 4

Bake for 30 mins. Remove from oven & using tongs, flip each wing. Return to oven & bake for 15-20 mins, until wings are browned & crispy.

Step 5

 Add hot honey, sriracha, ACV, red pepper flakes, salt, & pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer.

Step 6

Once simmering, lower heat & cook for about 5-10 mins, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens a bit.

Step 7

Remove chicken wings from oven & place in a large clean bowl. Pour hot honey sauce over the top & toss to coat.

Step 8

Place wings on platter & pour any sauce remaining in bowl over them. Top with scallions & red pepper flakes, if desired.

Step 9

These hot honey wings are seriously finger licking good! Serve them as a party appetizer or serve them for dinner & your guests will love the sweet heat they bring!
