Do you love the Pistachio Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks? With this easy copycat recipe, you can make the delicious iced drink at home!

What's in a Pistachio Cream Cold Brew?

This drink consists of cold brew coffee, vanilla syrup, pistachio cream cold foam (with pistachio sauce), & salted brown butter cookie topping. You can make everything from scratch or purchase some ingredients. The elements can be made ahead of time, so you can whip up a drink quickly!

Pistachio Cream Cold Foam Ingredients:

– Milk – Heavy cream – Pistachio sauce (recipe included)

Pistachio Sauce Ingredients:

– Shelled salted pistachios – Sweetened condensed milk – 2% milk

{You substitute pistachio syrup for homemade sauce}

Vanilla Syrup Ingredients:

– Water – Granulated sugar – Vanilla bean

{you can purchase syrup instead of making it}

Salted Brown Butter Topping Ingredients

– Butter – Salt (if using unsalted butter) – Brown sugar

Put water & sugar in a saucepan & bring to a boil. Lower heat & let simmer for about 10 mins until sugar is completely dissolved & mixture has thickened a bit.

Place syrup in fridge & let steep for at least 6 hours. Syrup will thicken as it cools. If you want a more intense vanilla flavor, you can leave the bean in.

Put pistachios in blender or food processor & process until smooth. Or use a mortar and use a pestle to crush them and turn them into a paste.

Add condensed milk, 2% milk, & pistachio butter to saucepan over medium-low heat. While stirring, bring to a simmer and let cook for 2 mins.

Pour pistachio sauce into a heat-proof jar or bowl & put in fridge to cool completely before using.

Mix milk, cream, & pistachio sauce in a mason jar & shake to combine. This is your Pistachio Sweet Cream. You can keep in fridge for later use if desired.

Turn mixture into cold foam right before using with  either use an electric frother, hand mixer, or blender. Add sweet cream & froth, mix, or blend until mixture turns into a foam.

If you don't have a frothing device, you can simply shake mixture in a mason jar until it's frothy.

Put butter in a light-colored pan over medium heat. stir butter as it melts.

Once melted, it should bubble & in  1-2 mins, you'll see brown flecks on the bottom of the saucepan & butter will smell nutty.

Remove from heat & continue to stir for another 30 seconds. Pour into heat-proof bowl. Add salt.  Stir in brown sugar.

Pour cold brew into an ice-filled glass. Stir in vanilla syrup.

Add pistachio cream cold foam.
