Fizzy Fruity Waffles with Sparkling Glaze

Adding sparkling water to waffles makes for a lighter and fluffier waffle... Plus, your waffles will be deliciously fruity, depending on the flavor water you choose. Top with waffle glaze and Pop Rocks for some extra fun sparkle and fizz.

Ingredients

  • 2 C all-purpose flour
  • 1 T sugar
  • 2 t baking powder
  • ¼ t salt
  • 6 T unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 12 oz. IZZE Sparkling Water any flavor
  • Waffle glaze recipe below
  • 1 package Pop Rocks

Waffle Glaze:

  • ¾ C confectioner's sugar
  • 3 T IZZE Sparkling Water and flavor

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add melted butter, lightly beaten eggs, and IZZE Sparkling Water to dry ingredients and stir until just combined, making sure no lumps remain.
  • Heat waffle iron and lightly brush with butter. Pour batter into iron, close, and bake until waffles are golden brown. Place waffles on plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • To serve, stack waffles on plates and pour glaze over. Sprinkle Pop Rocks on top.

Waffle Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together confectioner's sugar and IZZE Sparkling Water.
