Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of naan (about 8.8 oz. total- I usually use Stonefire)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Slice naan into strips.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar, and salt in a wide, deep bowl.
  • Melt butter on a griddle or in skillet over medium heat.
  • Dip naan strips into egg mixture until saturated and shake off excess batter before placing strips on heated griddle.
  • Cook until golden brown, about two minutes on each side.
  • Immediately dip french toast strips in cinnamon sugar coating mixture and toss until well coated.
  • Serve with maple syrup if desired. I like to serve with bowls of maple syrup to dip french toast sticks in!

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.

Notes

  • If you can't find naan, this recipe also works well with flatbread.
