Made with homemade raspberry simple syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and vodka, this refreshing Raspberry Vodka Lemonade will be your new favorite summer cocktail!
In a shaker filled with ice, combine lemon juice, water, raspberry simple syrup, and vodka. Shake well.
Pour cocktail into two glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a lemon wedge or slice.
Raspberry Simple Syrup
Put sugar, water, and raspberries in a medium-size saucepan and bring mixture to a boil. Once boiling, lower heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes, until mixture has thickened a bit.
Strain mixture into a bowl, being sure to press down on the berries to extract as much juice as possible.
Keep syrup in bowl or pour into a mason jar and place in fridge to cool completely before using. Syrup will continue to thicken as it cools.
Notes
Feel free to taste and adjust ingredients based on your personal preferences (add more vodka for a stronger drink, more syrup for a sweeter drink, etc.).
