Ingredients

  • Cornmeal, for sprinkling on pan
  • Cracked pepper pizza dough, recipe below (or store-bought dough with cracked black pepper mixed in)
  • ½ Tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz. (about 5 slices) prosciutto
  • 1 ¼ cups Hood Cottage Cheese with Cracked Pepper
  • 1 ½ cups fresh arugula

Cracked Pepper Pizza Dough

  • 1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees and lightly sprinkle cornmeal on a round baking pan.
  • Stretch dough out to fit on prepared pan. Brush dough lightly with olive oil, making sure to get edges.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on dough and place prosciutto on. Add spoonfuls of Hood Cottage Cheese with Cracked Pepper all around pizza dough.
  • Bake for 10-14 minutes, until pizza is turning golden. Remove from oven and top with arugula before slicing.

Cracked Pepper Pizza Dough

  • Mix yeast and water in a large bowl and let rest for 2 minutes.
  • Stir salt, extra-virgin olive oil, and honey into the mixture.
  • With a wooden spoon, mix the flour and cracked black pepper into the mixture.
  • Cover bowl with a kitchen towel and let rest in a warm spot for about 2 hours, so dough can rise.
