Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (see note about heat-treating)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ⅓-1/2 cup granulated sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
  • 2 tsp espresso powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4-6 Tbsp milk, divided
  • cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, granulated sugar, espresso powder, and salt.
  • Pour melted butter into mixture and add vanilla and 4 Tbsp milk. Stir until well combined and brownie-like dough is formed. Add an additional 1-2 Tbsp milk if you want your batter to be thinner.
  • Fold in mini chocolate chips and enjoy!

Notes

  • To avoid foodborne illness from eating raw flour, you can heat-treat it. Just spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes. Cool before using.
