Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup Skittles (I recommend using all one color or a mixture of colors that will work well when blended together. I like to use reds, pinks, and purples)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt until combined.
  • Stir in Skittles candies in the color of your choice. I use all red, pink, and purple for a pretty pink ice cream.
  • Cover bowl and let mixture chill in fridge for at least 4 hours, stirring on occasion.
  • Strain Skittles candies out of mixture (they should be mostly white) and pour strained milk mixture into ice cream maker. Process according to manufacturer's directions, likely running for about 20 minutes.
  • Transfer ice cream to containers and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
