What is a Chocolate Cream Cold Brew

According to Starbucks, these iced drinks are made with smooth cold brew, vanilla syrup, & chocolate cream cold foam. This cold brew has the perfect amount of sweetness & a fabulous chocolate flavor!

Ingredients:

– Cold Brew (homemade or store-bought) – Ice – Vanilla Syrup (homemade or store-bought) – Chocolate Cream Cold Foam (homemade or using a chocolate coffee creamer)

Vanilla Syrup Ingredients:

– Water – Granulated sugar – Vanilla bean

Mocha Cream Cold Foam Ingredients:

– 2% milk – Heavy cream – Vanilla syrup – Chocolate malt powder (I like Ovaltine)

Put water & sugar in a saucepan & bring to a boil. Lower heat & let simmer for 10 mins until sugar is dissolved & mixture has thickened a bit.

Make Vanilla Syrup

Pour into a heat-proof jar or container. Scrape out some of the seeds from sliced open pod with a sharp knife & add them & vanilla bean into the syrup.

Make Vanilla Syrup

Place syrup in fridge & let steep for at least 12 hours. Syrup will thicken more as it cools.

Make Vanilla Syrup

Mix milk, cream, syrup, & chocolate malt powder in bowl or jar  until well combined.

Make Chocolate Cream Cold Foam

Either use an electric frother, hand mixer, or blender to turn into foam. Alternatively, shake the mixture in a mason jar until frothy.
