We can't get enough lavender at Starbucks this season & we also love making their new drinks at home! This easy copycat Lavender Crème Frappuccino can be made in your kitchen with just a few special ingredients.

What's in a Lavender Crème Frappuccino

The Lavender Crème Frappuccino is a favorite sweet treat at Starbucks and it's also caffeine-free! The coffee shop version contains milk, crème Frappuccino syrup, vanilla syrup, & lavender powder. Of course, it's topped with whipped cream! When making it at home, we use milk, cream, vanilla syrup, & lavender powder, & xanthan gum for thickening. You can use lavender syrup if you prefer.

Drink Ingredients:

– Whole Milk – Heavy Cream – Vanilla Syrup – Lavender powder (recipe provided) or lavender syrup – Xanthan Gum – Ice – Whipped Cream

Lavender Powder Ingredients:

– Dried lavender flowers (culinary-grade) – Granulated sugar – Black currant powder (for coloring) – Salt – Soy lecithin powder (optional for blending in other drinks)

Put dried lavender in a spice or coffee grinder (you can also use a blender, food processor, or mortar & pestle.

Make Powder

Grind flowers into a fine powder. Transfer to small bowl.

Whisk sugar, black currant powder, salt, & soy lecithin (if using) into ground lavender.

Transfer mixture back to grinder (you may have to work in batches) & process until entire mixture is a fine powder.

Add milk, cream, vanilla syrup, lavender powder, & xanthan gum to a blender.

Make Drink

If using syrup instead of  powder, use 2-3 Tbsp, depending on how sweet & floral you want the drink. Use store-bought or my recipe.

Note if Using Lavender Syrup

Add ice to blender.

And process until mixture is smooth & frothy.
