What's more delicious than a chocolate covered strawberry? A Chocolate Covered Strawberry Frappuccino! You'll find this pretty frozen drink on the secret menu at Starbucks, but it's also easy to make a copycat version at home!
Put vanilla ice cream, ½ cup strawberry puree, vanilla sweet cream, and ice into a blender and blend until smooth.
Spoon ¼ cup strawberry puree into the bottom of a tall glass. Pour frappuccino over it.
Spoon 2 Tbsp mocha syrup over the frappuccino. Top with whipped cream and drizzle remaining mocha syrup over the top.
Vanilla Sweet Cream
Put all ingredients in a mason jar or other airtight container and shake well to combine. Keep chilled until ready to use.
Strawberry Puree
Put all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour puree into a bowl or glass.
Mocha Syrup
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk together.
Bring the mixture to a boil and once boiling, lower heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken.
Pour the syrup into a heat-proof bowl or jar and place in fridge to cool completely. It should continue to thicken as it cools.
Notes
This recipe makes enough for 1 grande Frappuccino. You'll have enough mocha syrup for 3-4 Frappuccinos. You can easily double or triple the vanilla sweet cream and strawberry puree recipes to make more.
If you can't get fresh strawberries, you can use frozen.
If you don't want to make your own vanilla simple syrup, feel free to purchase. You can also use vanilla extract and plain simple syrup. In a pinch, you can use vanilla extract and confectioners' or granulated sugar or you can simply purchase a vanilla coffee creamer.
