Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup strawberry puree (recipe below)
  • 1 batch vanilla sweet cream (recipe below)
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 ½ Tbsp mocha syrup (recipe below), divided
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Strawberry Puree

  • 8 large strawberries, hulled
  • ½ Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp water

Mocha Syrup

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • tsp salt

Vanilla Sweet Cream

Instructions

  • Put vanilla ice cream, ½ cup strawberry puree, vanilla sweet cream, and ice into a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Spoon ¼ cup strawberry puree into the bottom of a tall glass. Pour frappuccino over it.
  • Spoon 2 Tbsp mocha syrup over the frappuccino. Top with whipped cream and drizzle remaining mocha syrup over the top.

Vanilla Sweet Cream

  • Put all ingredients in a mason jar or other airtight container and shake well to combine. Keep chilled until ready to use.

Strawberry Puree

  • Put all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour puree into a bowl or glass.

Mocha Syrup

  •  Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk together.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and once boiling, lower heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken.
  • Pour the syrup into a heat-proof bowl or jar and place in fridge to cool completely. It should continue to thicken as it cools.

Notes

  • This recipe makes enough for 1 grande Frappuccino. You'll have enough mocha syrup for 3-4 Frappuccinos. You can easily double or triple the vanilla sweet cream and strawberry puree recipes to make more.
  • If you can't get fresh strawberries, you can use frozen.
  • If you don't want to make your own vanilla simple syrup, feel free to purchase. You can also use vanilla extract and plain simple syrup. In a pinch, you can use vanilla extract and confectioners' or granulated sugar or you can simply purchase a vanilla coffee creamer.
  • See "Useful Products" for other substitution recommendations, including strawberry puree and mocha syrup.
