Creamy  Grapefruit  Salmon

Grapefruit and salmon may sound like an odd combination, but once you try this Creamy Grapefruit Salmon, you'll be in love! It's a super easy and healthy dinner.

Makes:  4 servings Prep Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins


– Salmon, cut into 4 filets – Salt and pepper – Unsalted butter – Onion – Garlic – Grapefruit zest – Grapefruit juice – Heavy cream – Basil

Lightly season salmon on each side with salt & pepper. In a large skillet, melt 1 Tbsp butter over medium. Add salmon to pan, skin-side-up & cook for 4 mins.

Cook Salmon

Flip & cook for another 4 mins skin-side-down. Remove from pan & set aside on a plate.

Cook Salmon

Add remaining butter to skillet. Add onion & cook for 5 mins. Add garlic & cook for 2 mins, until garlic is fragrant & onions are translucent.

Cook Onions

Add grapefruit zest & juice to pan & bring to a simmer, scraping up browned bits with spatula. Once simmering, slowly pour cream into pan. Stir & let sauce thicken a bit.

Simmer Sauce

Add salmon back to pan to heat through, spooning sauce over the salmon.

Serve salmon with brown rice, quinoa, or pasta or simply with a vegetable side.
