Ingredients

  • cup cake mix (flavor of choice)
  • 1 ½ tablespoon neutral oil (like canola oil or avocado oil)
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk (or dairy/non-dairy alternative of choice)
  • 2 tablespoon Greek yogurt or sour cream (see notes if omitting)
  • Pinch salt optional

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe mug (I use an 8 oz mug), stir together cake mix, oil, milk, yogurt or sour cream, and salt.
  • Microwave on high for about 45-75 seconds, until the center looks set.
  • Let rest for 60 seconds before enjoying. Add a dollop of frosting or your favorite toppings before serving.

Notes

  • If omitting yogurt or sour cream, use 2 tablespoon milk total and 2 tablespoon oil total.
