Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry white wine like pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • ½ cup vodka
  • ⅓ cup caramel syrup (store-bought or homemade with recipe linked in notes), plus more for glass rims
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 apples thinly sliced (apple varieties of your choice. I like to use 1 honeycrisp and 1 granny smith)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Ground cinnamon for glass rims
  • Granulated sugar for glass rims
  • Caramel sauce optional for glass rims
  • 1 cup seltzer water

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher, stir together white wine, apple cider, vodka, caramel syrup and vanilla until fully blended.
  • Add apples and cinnamon sticks to pitcher.
  • Chill sangria for 2-4 hours. Taste and add more caramel syrup if needed.
  • Before serving, combine cinnamon and granulated sugar on a small plate. Brush glass rims with caramel sauce or caramel syrup and then place upside-down in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat rims.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour sangria. Top each glass with a seltzer water for a little fizz.
