Blackpink Frappuccino {Starbucks Copycat}

It was never released in the United States, but you can easily make this copycat Starbucks Blackpink Frappuccino at home! The Strawberry Crème Frappuccino is made with oat milk, poured over a layer of mocha sauce, and topped with strawberry whipped cream and chocolate chips. You can make all the elements from scratch or use store-bought versions.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon mocha sauce (store-bought or with recipe below)
  • 1 cup oat milk
  • ½ cup strawberry puree (store-bought or with recipe below)
  • 3 tablespoon simple syrup (store-bought or with recipe below)
  • ½ teaspoon xanthan gum (can substitute with cornstarch, but use a little bit more)
  • 1 cup ice
  • Strawberry whipped cream (recipe below or you can use plain store-bought whipped cream)
  • Mini chocolate chips, for topping

Mocha Sauce

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Strawberry Puree

  • 8 large strawberries
  • ½ Tbps granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoon water

Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Strawberry Whipped Cream

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoon strawberry puree
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup (or vanilla simple syrup)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (omit if using vanilla simple syrup)

Instructions

  • Pour mocha sauce into the bottom of a glass or cup.
  • In a blender, add oat milk, strawberry puree, simple syrup, xanthan gum, and ice. Process until smooth and frothy.
  • Pour Frappuccino mixture over mocha sauce. Top with strawberry whipped cream (I like to pipe mine on with a pastry bag fitted with a Wilton 1M tip) and mini chocolate chips.

Mocha Sauce

  •  Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk together.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and once boiling, lower heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken.
  • Pour the syrup into a heat-proof bowl or jar and place in fridge to cool completely. It should continue to thicken as it cools.

Strawberry Puree

  • Put all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour puree into a bowl or glass. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

Simple Syrup

  • Add water and sugar to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Once boiling, lower heat and let mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, until sugar is completely dissolved and syrup has thickened a bit (it will continue to thicken as it cools).
  • Remove saucepan from heat and pour syrup into a heat-proof bowl or mason jar. Place bowl or jar in fridge to cool completely before using.

Strawberry Whipped Cream

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer with whisk attachment or in a medium bowl with a hand mixer, beat together heavy cream, strawberry puree, and syrup on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 4-5 minutes. If not using immediately, store in fridge.

Notes

  • Whipped cream recipe makes enough for 2 Frappuccinos
  • Simple syrup recipe makes about 1 cup syrup.
  • Mocha sauce recipe makes about 1 ½ cups sauce.
