Fluffy Seagull

A fluffernutter sandwich in a glass? The Fluffy Seagull takes a marshmallow fluff smeared glass and adds peanut butter syrup, espresso, and milk for an iced latte that's pure nostalgia. You can make the viral drink at home with this easy copycat version.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon marshmallow fluff
  • Ice
  • 3 oz espresso
  • 1 oz peanut butter syrup store-bought or homemade with recipe below
  • 8 oz milk (use the dairy or nondairy alternative of your choice)

Peanut Butter Syrup

  • 1 ½ cups water
  • cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Use the back of a rubber spatula or spoon to smear wide patches of fluff against the inside walls of a cup.
  • Fill glass with ice.
  • Add peanut butter syrup and espresso to glass. Add milk of your choice to fill the rest of the cup.

Peanut Butter Syrup

  • Combine peanut butter, granulated sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir continuously with a whisk or wooden spoon as mixture heats to dissolve the sugar and fully mix the peanut butter into the liquid.
  • Once the mixture reaches a boil, the mixture should be fully blended. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture has thickened.
  • Pour syrup into a mason jar or bowl and place in fridge to cool completely before using.
  • When ready to use, shake well. You may want thin syrup out a bit by heating it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.

Notes

  • Peanut butter syrup should keep fresh for about 2 weeks when stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
