Celebrate the 4th of July with the limited-edition

We love official
The new Firework Frappuccino is very limited as it's only available at stores from July 1-July 4, 2025. That's because it's the perfect 4th of July Frappuccino!
But it also works for Memorial Day, Labor Day, or even for celebrating your favorite red, white, and blue sports teams.
And with this easy copycat recipe, you can make the
🎆 What is the Firework Frappuccino?
Like most of their special limited release items, the Firework Frappuccino is made with all ingredients that are already available at
It takes the Summer Berry Refresher base, blends it with coconut milk, and turns it into a Frappuccino. Yes, a coconut milk Frappuccino! And yes, a Refresher Frappuccino!
The Frappuccino is served over raspberry pearls (just like the Summer Berry Refresher and the Summer Skies Drink) and then a layer of strawberry puree is added, followed by a layer of vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
It's fun, it's festive, it's super duper sweet, and it makes for some great Instagram content!
🗒 Ingredients
There are quite a few steps to making this Frappuccino at home since it has several different elements.
You're basically making a Summer Skies Drink, plus adding strawberry puree and vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
You can certainly purchase a berry syrup, but I haven't been able to find a good clear one and any colored ones will greatly alter the color of your Frappuccino. This blue-ish wildberry syrup may be your best bet (note that I haven't tried it for myself).
Here's everything you need for the Summer Berry Refresher base (be sure to view the recipe card at the bottom of this post for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions):
- Water
- Granulated sugar
- Blueberry extract
- Raspberry extract
- Blackberry extract
- Citric acid: you can substitute with lemon juice if needed
- Green coffee bean extract powder: you can omit this if you don't want your Frappuccino to have caffeine in it
- Blue spirulina powder: this is a natural blue food dye that works really well, but you can substitute with blue food coloring if you prefer
- Raspberry pearls: you can substitute with the flavor of your choice
For the vanilla sweet cream cold foam, you'll need:
- 2% Milk
- Heavy cream
- Vanilla syrup (homemade or store-bought)
Aside from that, you'll need:
- Sweetened coconut milk (the kind in the carton)
- Xanthan gum: this will help thicken your Frappuccino and get it frothy. If you don't have it, you can add a little extra corn starch
- Ice
- Strawberry puree (you can make your own with my strawberry puree recipe, but it won't be quite as sweet as store-bought)
🎉Tips for making at home
- The Firework Frappuccino is essentially a Summer Skies Drink that's turned into Frappuccino. I have all the steps for making it in this post's recipe card, but you can also see lots of details and process photos in my Summer Skies Drink post.
- I recommend making the berry syrup in advance since it will need a little time to cool.
- Blue spirulina powder is what turns it that gorgeous and patriotic blue color, but you can use blue food coloring if you prefer.
- Once you have your Summer Berry Refresher Base, you'll mix 5 oz of it with 5 oz of sweetened coconut milk in a jar.
- To turn it into a Frappuccino, you'll put it in a blender with xanthan gum and ice. Xanthan gum helps get your Frappuccino thick and frothy, which is especially important in this one since it has water in it. You can substitute with corn starch, but I recommend using a little more than the ¼ teaspoon I recommend for xanthan gum.
- You can mix up the vanilla sweet cream for your cold foam in advance and keep it in the fridge. But don't turn it into cold foam until you're ready to enjoy your Frappuccino. Check out my sweet cream cold foam post for lots more tips on making it.
- Pour the blue Frappuccino over raspberry boba pearls (or the flavor you like best).
- The strawberry puree I use doesn't sit on top of the Frappuccino for long, but I've seen lots of photos of the store-bought drink and it looks like this is true there, too.
- Spoon the sweet cream cold foam over the top and your Firework Frappuccino is complete!
- You'll want to make sure you have some thick straws on hand to suck up those raspberry pearls!
This drink is a fun one! It's berry-packed and very, very sweet. I think it's the kind of drink that will sell a lot at
I've also heard through the grapevine that baristas are not thrilled with the drink. It consists of a lot of steps and is definitely more time-consuming than the average Frappuccino!
Every time I make this drink (and I made it many times!), it came out looking a little bit differently. Sometimes the raspberry pearls floated when I added in my blue Frappuccino mixture, sometimes my strawberry puree spread throughout the drink, and sometimes the sweet cream cold foam added some white swirls.
It is best to drink it immediately after making it as the Frappuccino can begin to separate.
But it would be so much fun to make a batch of these for friends and family over the 4th of July holiday. It's like Fireworks in a Frappuccino!

Firework Frappuccino {Starbucks Copycat}
Ingredients
- 5 oz Summer Berry Refresher base (recipe below)
- 5 oz sweetened coconut milk (the kind in the carton)
- ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum (for thickening Frappuccino. Can substitute with cornstarch, but use a little bit more)
- ¾ cup ice
- ¼ cup raspberry pearls or boba (with liquid)
- 2 tablespoon strawberry puree
- ⅓ cup vanilla sweet cream cold foam (recipe below)
Summer Berry Refresher Base
- ½ cup + 2 Tbsp berry syrup (recipe below)
- 1 ⅓ cups water
- ½ teaspoon citric acid (or lemon juice)
- ½ teaspoon green coffee extract optional (omit if you don't want any caffeine in your Frappuccino)
- ¼ teaspoon blue spirulina powder
Berry Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon blueberry extract
- ½ teaspoon raspberry extract
- ½ teaspoon blackberry extract
Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam
- ¾ cup 2% milk
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon vanilla syrup
Instructions
- In a large jar, shake together Summer Berry Refresher base and coconut milk.
- Pour mixture into blender and add xanthan gum (or corn starch) and ice. Process until smooth and frothy.
- Put raspberry pearls and their liquid in the bottom of a cup and pour Frappuccino mixture over them.
- Top with a layer of strawberry puree, followed by a layer of vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
Summer Berry Refresher Base
- Add berry syrup, water, citric acid, green coffee bean powder (if using), and blue spirulina to a large jar or container. Shake well to combine and refrigerate until ready to use.
Berry Syrup
- Put water and sugar in medium-size saucepan and bring mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, lower heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry extracts.
- Pour syrup into a mason jar or bowl and place in fridge to cool completely before using. Syrup will continue to thicken as it cools.
Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam
- Mix milk, cream, and vanilla syrup in a mason jar and shake to combine. Alternatively, you can stir all ingredients together in a bowl. If you're not using right away, keep in an airtight container in the fridge. You can use this vanilla sweet cream in coffee as is if you want.
- Turn mixture into cold foam right before using. You can either use an electric frother, hand mixer, or blender. Just add the sweet cream and froth, mix, or blend until the mixture turns into a foam. Alternatively, you can shake the mixture in a mason jar until it's frothy.
Notes
- If you want to make your own vanilla syrup for the cold foam, you can use this recipe.
- If you want to make your own strawberry puree, you can use the recipe from this post (note: add more sugar to get it closer to Starbucks')

Thank you for this!!! My kids were so sad we missed this at Starbucks and couldn't believe we couldn't get it on the 5th. I ordered everything right away and made it right away. We skipped the blueberry extract in the syrup and didn't use xanthan powder but it came out pretty and delicious and they were so happy!
