No matter how you feel about the quintessential (and sometimes controversial) Easter candy, I think you'll be a fan of this Peeps cocktail! It's the perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and strong, and is a festive Easter brunch drink or after dinner martini.

Love them or loathe them, you have to admit Peeps are one of the most fun signs of the Easter season.
Even if you don't want to eat them, they make the prettiest decor. And cocktail garnish!
This Peeps cocktail doesn't actually necessitate you eat any Peeps. But the drink does complement them so perfectly that you might be seriously tempted to.
🗒 Ingredients
When I was developing this Peeps cocktail recipe, I tried several different liquor combinations in order to get the most perfect sweet and delicious flavor combination possible.
I loved the idea of a pure white cocktail to really make the Peeps garnish pop and at first I wasn't sure how white créme de cacao would be since Peeps don't have any chocolate in them.
But this combination is just SO easter that I couldn't resist. With sweet creamy marshmallow flavor reminiscent of Peeps and a touch of light chocolate flavor similar to a milk chocolate bunny, this is an Easter basket in a glass.
And when you take a sip of the drink followed by a bite of a Peep, I think you'll be in love, too!
Here's everything you need for the Peeps martini (be sure to view the recipe card at the bottom of this post for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions):
- Sanding sugar: I recommend this for making the rim of your martini glasses extra festive.
- Marshmallow vodka: can substitute with vanilla vodka if desired
- White créme de cacao: If you can't find this, you can also feel free to use white chocolate liqueur or Irish cream.
- Half-and-half: you can substitute with heavy cream if you prefer.
- Peeps: for garnish... And snacking!
🍸 How to make
Making the Peeps cocktail is incredibly easy!
Start by decorating your glasses in sanding sugar. I like to use coupe glasses for this drink; but you can also use a regular martini glass or whatever vessel you choose.
Put sanding sugar on a small plate and brush the rim of your martini glass with simple syrup or water. Place glass upside down on the plate and twist to coat rim in sugar.
Now, in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add marshmallow vodka, white crème de cacao, and half-and-half.
Shake well to combine.
And strain the martini into the prepared glass.
Garnish with a Peep!
The bunnies are great for putting on the side of the glass and the chicks are perfect for floating right in the cocktail.
How cute?? I'm sorry, but it's really hard to be a Peeps hater with a drink like this.
It's the perfect combination of sweet and strong! Definitely the kind of dessert cocktail you want to slowly sip on.
Please be sure to serve with extra Peeps on the side.
🎉 Variations on recipe
There are thousands of different ways you can make a Peeps cocktail and I have lots of suggestions and variations on this recipe that you might love:
- If you don't like the idea of adding a bit of chocolate flavor with the white créme de cacao, you can simply leave it out and add additional vodka and half and half.
- You can add a little vanilla extract or vanilla syrup to add even more vanilla depth to the drink.
- Instead of using water or syrup for the rim of the glass, use marshmallow fluff.
- Add some fun color to your Peeps cocktails with a couple drops of food coloring.
- Blend the cocktail ingredients with ice to make a delicious frozen Peeps cocktail!
- Add a splash of club soda to give the drink a little bit of fizz.
- If you want to make this drink for kids, you can make a virgin Peeps cocktail. Use marshmallow syrup and half-and-half.
If you're looking for more traditional cocktail options, Peeps also pair wonderfully with White Russians, mudslides, and vanilla vodka martinis or vodka sodas.
Whether you're serving this drink at Easter brunch or after Easter dinner, it's going to be a hit with everyone looking for a little sweetness.
