For a fun twist on nachos, just add clams! These Clam Nachos are incredibly easy to make and will be a hit at any party or for a Sunday on the couch watching the game or a movie.
Thank you to Snow's® for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own!
I truly believe nachos are one of the world's most perfect foods. Not only do they make the best party food, movie watching snack, lunch, dinner (yes, I've totally made nachos for dinner before and don't even get me started on breakfast nachos), but there are also endless options for how you can prepare them.
I'm super excited to be working with Snow's® today to share with you all of their fantastic products and my new favorite nachos... Clam nachos!
These nachos can be made in just minutes and are a super fun twist on the traditional game-watching snack.
Snow's® Chowders
I love Snow's® canned clams (and their clam juice, too), but also want to tell you all about their chowders since they're re-launching them. What does their re-launch mean? Double the clams (double!!), fresh ingredients, new recipes, AND a bold new modern retro look for their cans, leaning into their New England heritage.
I've spent some time sampling all of their chowders and can tell you they're all incredibly rich and indulgent (thanks to the fact they're made with real cream) and absolutely delicious (thanks to the fact they're made with fresh clams from the North Atlantic's cold waters). They have no artificial colors or flavors and no MSG.
Their New England Style Clam Chowder comes ready-to-serve or condensed (you just have to add milk while heating), their Manhattan Style Clam Chowder comes ready-to-serve, and their Corn Chowder comes condensed.
The New England Style Clam Chowder has 13 grams of protein! Being from New England, I've actually never had Manhattan Style Clam Chowder before, but now I know I actually really love it (in a completely different way than New England!). The corn chowder is also so flavorful and sweet and makes me feel a little less sad that corn on the cob season is over.
I decided to use Snow's® chopped clams on my nachos since they're a bit larger than the minced and I wanted to have delicious clam bits on all of the pita chips. The clams are wild caught and served in fresh clam juice.
Clam Nachos Recipe
Like most nachos, these are super easy to make. Simply spread pita chips on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet, sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and add chopped clams and finely chopped jalapeños on top.
Bake until the cheese is nicely melted and then add on additional toppings. I used crispy crumbled bacon and chopped tomatoes, but you can really use any toppings you want!
Have you ever realized how well clams and bacon go together? Seriously a match made in heaven! If you've ever had (and loved) clam and bacon pizza, you're going to really love these clam nachos!
I almost added avocado, olives, and sour cream, too, but I really wanted the clams to shine here... And they did just that!
You are also welcome to use traditional tortilla chips instead of pita chips, but I liked having a nice sturdy chip and thought the pita chips worked out really well.
These clam nachos taste just like fall in New England to me. I feel so lucky that we're getting such a good fall this year (so many years the weather seems to go from summer right to winter) and I've been spending so much time sitting comfortably outside in a big sweatshirt.
Not only did I sit outside while snacking on these nachos, but I also sampled each of the chowders outside on my patio.
I already have so many more recipe ideas for Snow's® Chopped and Minced Clams and have a feeling they'll be making an appearance in my kitchen all fall and winter long.
Believe it or not, I've also learned that Snow's® Chopped Clams are also delicious right out of the can!
