The drink combination sounds a little bit unlikely, but
And I happen to think the homemade version is a lot prettier than what you'd get at the coffee shop, too. And it's totally customizable!
❤️ Why this recipe works
So, why is this recipe better than any of the other Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino copycat recipes you'll find? Here are some reasons:
Uses the same ingredients as the coffee shop: I took a look at how to order the drink at
Cheesecake flavor without the fuss: cheesecake can be hard to make and it can be tough to replicate in drink form. This drink doesn't require working with cream cheese or anything complicated; but it still manages to get the flavor of cheesecake down pretty good with the white mocha sauce and cinnamon dolce syrup flavor combination.
Options for homemade or store-bought ingredients: at first glance, this recipe seems like it's incredibly lengthy. But it's actually super easy! I love making my own syrups, sauces, and purees from scratch. But if you prefer, you can purchase them and make this drink in just a few minutes.
Use of xanthan powder: many of the Frappuccino recipes you find online are nice icy drinks, but seem to be missing that thick frothy Frappuccino consistency. The powder helps keep the drink from separating and thickens it without any change in taste.
🗒 Ingredients
This Frappuccino recipe has several components and I show you how to make all of them from scratch. But note that they can all also be purchased easily.
Here's everything you need to make the delicious drink (be sure to view the recipe card at the bottom of this post for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions):
- Whole milk
- Strawberry puree: homemade with recipe shared or store-bought. See recipe notes if using store-bought strawberry puree since you'll need to use much less of it in the drink
- White mocha sauce: homemade with recipe shared or store-bought white mocha sauce
- Cinnamon dolce syrup: homemade with recipe shared or store-bought cinnamon dolce syrup
- Vanilla bean powder: can use vanilla extract instead, but your drink will lose a little bit of sweetness
- Xanthan powder
- Ice
- Whipped cream: for topping
- Graham cracker crumbs: for topping
If you're making your own strawberry puree, you'll need:
- Strawberries
- Granulated sugar
- Water
If you're making your own white mocha sauce, you'll need:
- White chocolate: roughly chopped
- Fat-free sweetened condensed milk: you can replace it with a full-fat version if necessary
- 2% milk: or the dairy/nondairy alternative of your choice
And if you're making your own cinnamon dolce syrup, you'll need:
- Water
- Brown sugar: can use light or dark
- Cinnamon sticks: or ground cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
🍓 Tips for making
- If you're making your syrups and sauces from scratch, I recommend doing so ahead of time as they'll need time to cool completely before using.
- You might think cinnamon dolce syrup is a little odd in a Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino, but it adds a kind of cinnamon graham cracker flavor to the drink that works perfectly.
- In addition to the process written in the recipe card at the bottom of this post, I have an entire post dedicated to the details of making white mocha sauce.

- If you're using homemade strawberry puree, you'll use a slightly different amount than you will if you're using store-bought. I always make my own and I didn't realized until I tried a store-bought version that they make it SO much sweeter than it is homemade.

- Frappuccinos work best if you add the liquids, powders, and then ice to the blender.
- Don't over-do the xanthan powder. A little can work wonders on the Frappuccino consistency, but too much can turn it to a pudding-like consistency.
- If you don't have vanilla bean powder, you can use vanilla extract, but the powder really does help the drink taste more like the
Starbucks version. The powder also adds additional sweetness to the drink, so you may want to add a little extra sweetness via syrup or mocha sauce if using extract.

- Use a spoon to drizzle the strawberry puree around the inside of the glass or cup and rotate it while you pour the Frappuccino drink into the cup.

- Top the Frappuccino with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs.
- This drink borders on super sweet, especially if you're using store-bought strawberry puree, so you may need to adjust some of the ingredient amounts depending on what your tastes are.
Soon you'll be sipping on the most refreshing and delicious strawberry cheesecake you've ever had!

One of the best things about this Frappuccino is that it's totally customizable. If it's too sweet for you, it's easy to tone down the sugar. Especially if you make your strawberry puree from scratch.
When making it at home, you can also experiment with different ingredients. you can try blending graham crackers right into the Frappuccino or even adding a bit of cream cheese to add that tart creaminess.
🎉 Variations on recipe
Here are some more things you can do to jazz up your Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino:
- Add 1-2 shots of cooled espresso to the Frappuccino for some caffeine. I also recommend adding ¼ cup of extra ice to keep the drink's thickness.
- Add a little cocoa powder to the drink and top with mocha sauce or chocolate shavings for a chocolate-covered strawberry drink.
- Add unflavored or vanilla flavored protein powder to your Frappuccino. Add some more ice cubes if you do this.
- Add 1 tablespoon cream cheese or 2 teaspoon Greek yogurt, along with 1-2 teaspoon lemon juice for that traditional cheesecake tang.
- Use blueberry puree instead of strawberry for a Blueberry Cheesecake Frappuccino.
- Use half peanut butter syrup for a peanut butter and jelly cheesecake flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 cup (8 oz) whole milk
- ½ cup (4 oz) homemade strawberry puree plus more for lining cup (see notes if you're using store-bought)
- 2 ½ Tbsp (1 ¼ oz) white mocha sauce (store-bought or homemade with recipe below)
- 1 Tbsp (½ oz) cinnamon dolce syrup (store-bought or homemade with recipe below)
- 2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder
- ¼ teaspoon xanthan powder
- 1 cup ice
- Whipped cream for topping
- Graham cracker crumbs for topping
Strawberry Puree
- 8 large strawberries
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon water
White Mocha Sauce
- 4 oz. white chocolate roughly chopped
- ½ cup fat-free sweetened condensed milk (can be replaced with full-fat version)
- ½ cup 2% milk (or dairy/nondairy alternative of your choice)
Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup packed brown sugar (can use light or dark)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks (see notes for using ground cinnamon)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line inside of cup with strawberry puree.
- Add milk, ½ cup strawberry puree, white mocha sauce, cinnamon dolce syrup syrup, vanilla powder, xanthan gum, and ice to a blender and process until smooth and frothy.
- Pour into cup and top with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs.
Strawberry Puree
- Put all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour puree into a bowl or glass. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
White Mocha Sauce
- Put roughly chopped white chocolate in a medium heat-proof bowl.
- In a small saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk and 2% milk over medium-low heat until it's just coming to a simmer.
- Pour milk mixture over white chocolate and let sit for a minute. Then, stir until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Pour sauce into a heat-proof jar or bowl and let cool. Keep in the fridge until ready to use.
Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
- Put water, both kinds of sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a medium-size saucepan and bring mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, lower heat and let mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, until syrup has thickened (note that it will continue to thicken as it cools).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Strain cinnamon sticks out of syrup and pour into a heat-proof bowl or mason jar. Place bowl or jar in fridge to cool completely before using.
Notes
- Store-bought strawberry puree is significantly sweeter than my homemade version, so you'll need to adjust if using in this Frappuccino. Instead of ½ cup, use 3 Tbsp.
- For the cinnamon dolce syrup, you can replace the cinnamon sticks with 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, but note that it won't likely dissolve completely into the syrup, which could result in syrup that's a bit grainy. I recommend shaking the jar really well before using the syrup.
