After many, many years
And it's not just a limited-edition syrup; this time, coconut is sticking around. And I'm sure fans will be creating their own awesome drinks with it (Almond Joy, anyone??) in addition to the new menu drinks.
One of the first drinks
And it's incredibly easy to make at home!
With this launch also came the introduction of ube powder and the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato; another delicious drink you can make at home.
❤️ Why this recipe works
Toasted coconut flavor is sweet, nutty, and tropical: even if you think you're not a fan of coconut, you may just love this drink! Because it's "toasted" coconut, instead of bringing sunscreen vibes, like coconut can tend to sometimes to, the flavor is more complex, nutty, and caramel-y. While still bringing to mind a tropical vacation!
Perfect balance of sweetness: I love
Quick and easy to make: there aren't a lot of components to this drink and the couple that there are can be made ahead of time. You can either buy or make your own toasted coconut syrup (and keep homemade in the fridge for up to a month) and you can make the toasted coconut sweet cream ahead of time and just whip it into a cold foam when you're ready to enjoy your drink.
Tastes just like

For the toasted coconut cream cold foam, you'll need:
- Heavy cream
- 2% milk
- Toasted coconut syrup: you can use a store-bought syrup or make your own homemade toasted coconut syrup
🧋 Recipe tips
- You can make the toasted coconut sweet cream in advance and keep it in a mason jar or airtight container in your fridge. When you're ready for your drink, whip it into a cold foam.
- If you don't have a frother, you can make your cold foam in a blender or with a hand mixer. You can even just keep it in the mason jar and shake it vigorously. Your foam won't be quite as voluminous, but it will still give you a nice froth.

- As with all my cold brew recipes, I recommend using your favorite cold brew for this since the coffee truly shines. Lots of people like making their own, but I also really like Starbucks cold brew concentrate.

- A lot of
Starbucks flavored cold foam cold brews don't have the flavored syrup in the cold brew, too, but this one has toasted coconut syrup in both the coffee and the cold foam. We love that!
- Be sure to give the iced coffee a good stir once you add the syrup so that it evenly distributes and doesn't just sit at the bottom.
- Starbucks uses 2 pumps of toasted coconut syrup in this cold brew, which equates to about ½ ounce or 1 tablespoon.

- After you add the cold foam to the drink, top it all off with some toasted shredded coconut. You can actually purchase toasted coconut, but it's just as easy to toast your own (just be aware that it can burn pretty quickly, especially if you're using sweetened coconut!).
As a coconut lover, I have to say this is one of my favorite drinks
It's the perfect level of sweetness and I love the toastiness of the coconut flavor. I know this is technically a spring drink, but because the coconut is toasted, it has a certain coziness to it and makes it feel like an any time of year drink.

🎉 Variations on recipe
Because coconut is such a versatile ingredient, there are so many ways you can make this drink to bring it to whole new levels!
Here are some ideas:
- Stir mocha sauce into the cold brew or line the cup with it for a Mounds bar flavor.
- Do the above, but also add a little almond syrup or almond extract to the drink for Almond Joy flavor.
- Stir white chocolate sauce into the cold brew or line the cup with it for a super sweet dessert flavor.
- Add pineapple syrup to the drink. This may sound strange, but coconut and pineapple equal tropical vacation!
- Or add the flavored syrup of your choice to complement the coconut flavors. I recommend vanilla, caramel, raspberry, or toffee nut.
- If you want to make this drink dairy-free, you can try making the cold foam with full-fat coconut milk and oat milk. It won't froth quite as well as the dairy version, but will still be delicious.
- Shake the cold brew and syrup with ice for a toasted coconut shaken espresso type drink.
- Feel free to add more toasted coconut syrup into the cold brew for a sweeter drink or less for a bolder drink. You can also add more sweet cream or cold foam if you want!
