As part of their 2026 holiday menu offerings,
It's obviously inspired by the classic Italian dessert and is made with robust cold brew and vanilla syrup that's topped off with a mascarpone cold foam and a cocoa coffee cookie dusting.
Mascarpone cold foam is a dream come true and I'm actually a bit shocked
Making this new cold brew at home is super easy and I'm so excited to share this copycat recipe with you.
I'll be sharing the rest of the 2026
For anyone missing the Chestnut Praline Latte, I've got you covered on that, too.
❤️ Why this recipe works
It actually tastes like tiramisu: the coffee, mascarpone, and chocolate flavors all come together to actually taste like the classic dessert in drink form.
It's easy to make and customize: I always like to make my
It's a holiday drink that feels unique: most holiday drinks are flavored with peppermint, gingerbread, and eggnog, but this one feels so unique. Technically, tiramisu is an "any time of year" dessert, but this drink still feels festive.
🗒️ Ingredients
Here's everything you need to make your own Tiramisu Velvet Cold Brew drink at home (be sure to view the recipe card at the bottom of this post for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions):
- Mocha sauce for glass rim: you can use store-bought or homemade mocha sauce with the recipe from my Dubai Chocolate Mocha post.
- Ice
- Cold brew: you can brew your own cold brew or use Starbucks cold brew concentrate or another brand cold brew. If you don't have cold brew, you can use the iced coffee of your choice.
- Vanilla syrup: store-bought or homemade with my vanilla syrup recipe
- Velvet Mascarpone Cold Foam: I share the recipe in this post
- Cocoa cookie dusting: I share the ingredients for this, too
Here's what you need for the homemade Velvet Mascarpone Cold Foam:
- Mascarpone cheese OR instant vanilla pudding powder: I tested this drink before
Starbucks ' official version came out and used real mascarpone cheese. However,Starbucks uses a vanilla custard powder. Instant pudding powder will work better than custard since it doesn't need to be cooked to blend well. I actually really like the slight tartness the mascarpone brings in. - Vanilla syrup: store-bought or homemade with my vanilla syrup recipe
- 2% milk
- Heavy cream
And here's what you need for the cocoa cookie topping:
- Cookies: I recommend ladyfingers, vanilla cookies, or shortbread cookies
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Instant espresso powder
🧋 Recipe tips
- You can make the mascarpone sweet cream in advance and keep it in a mason jar or airtight container in your fridge. When you're ready for your drink, whip it into a cold foam.
- Cold foams froth up best with really cold ingredients, so make sure you use cream and milk right out of the fridge. And if you make the sweet cream in advance, keep it chilled until ready to use.
- However, if you're making your cold foam with mascarpone, be sure to let it soften for a little bit before using it as it will be easier to blend it fully into the sweet cream mixture.

- Start by whisking the mascarpone into the vanilla syrup until it's completely smooth before adding the cold milk and cream.
- If you're using the instant pudding powder, you can just add that along with the milk, cream, and vanilla syrup to the jar all at once.

- If you don't have a frother, you can make your cold foam in a blender or with a hand mixer. You can even just keep it in the mason jar and shake it vigorously. Your foam won't be quite as voluminous, but it will still give you a nice froth.

- Crush your cookies finely and mix together the cocoa powder and instant espresso powder in a small bowl.

- One thing that makes this Tiramisu Cold Brew unique is that the inner rim of the cup is lined with mocha sauce. I just drizzle it around the rim, but you can brush it on if you prefer.

- To build the drink, add the ice to your mocha-rimmed cup and then pour in the cold brew and stir in the vanilla syrup. Pour mascarpone cold foam over the top and then sprinkle on crushed cookies and sift cocoa coffee mixture on top.
Tiramisu in a cup? This is honestly my idea of a dream drink and a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season for anyone who isn't into those classic holiday flavors.
If you use real mascarpone to make the foam, it makes for a bit of a thicker, slightly tangy foam that really is velvety. The custard powder or instant vanilla pudding powder makes it a bit more vanilla forward and a little bit airier.

Here are some fun ideas for how you can make the Tiramisu Velvet Cold Brew your own at home:
- If you like a milkier drink, you can add 2% milk (or the dairy/non-dairy alternative of your choice) in with the cold brew and vanilla syrup.
- If you like a sweeter drink, you can add in more syrup.
- For an extra chocolate-y treat, stir extra mocha sauce into the coffee instead of just keeping it on the rim.
- If you add a little rum extract to the drink, you'll get even more classic tiramisu flavor.
- Instead of vanilla syrup, try using my brown sugar syrup.
- Add chocolate shavings over the top.
- Top drink with crushed chocolate cookies instead of vanilla.
- Swap the cold brew for iced espresso if you want a stronger coffee flavor.
- Use decaf cold brew for a caffeine-free drink. You'll also want to use decaf espresso powder or skip this for the topping.
- Add a shot of espresso to your cold brew for an extra caffeine boost.
- Use flavored cold brew, like vanilla, as your base for even more depth.
