    Candy Corn Cocktail

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Looking for the ultimate Halloween cocktail? This Candy Corn Cocktail is incredibly simple, but so perfect for spooky season! It's made by mixing homemade candy corn syrup into a standard vodka soda... And it tastes JUST like the popular (or perhaps most controversial) Halloween candy! It's also easy to use the simple syrup to make a candy corn soda mocktail.

Spooky season is here, which also means candy corn season is here! For those of you who don't like it, you're lucky it's a relatively short season. For those of you who love it, I'm here to make your candy corn dreams come true!

Many years ago, I shared with you my Candy Corn Martini recipe. It's a delicious cocktail that consists of infusing vodka with candy corn and adding in some butterscotch schnapps.

But this year, I shared with you my candy corn simple syrup recipe. And with it, I have a whole new candy corn cocktail idea for you. This one is even more simple and is essentially a vodka soda with candy corn syrup mixed in.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

Unless you're not a candy corn fan, you're going to love everything about this recipe!

The cocktail is a gorgeous Halloween orange and it tastes JUST like candy corn. Plus, it's ridiculously easy to make and requires simple ingredients.

Candy corn cocktails are perfect for serving at Halloween parties or simply for enjoying during the viewing of a spooky movie.

    Ingredients

As I mentioned, the ingredients in this cocktail are quite simple. Here is everything you need:

    • Candy corn simple syrup (the recipe just includes candy corn and water!)
    • Voda
    • Soda water
    • Extra candy corn for garnish
    • Sprinkles if you want to garnish your glass (I used these fun candy corn colored ones)

The candy corn simple syrup is easy to make and simply requires simmering candy corn and water together until the candy dissolves and the mixture thickens into a syrup. Check out my full post about it here.

How to Make Candy Corn Cocktail

Once your candy corn syrup is made and chilled, you can make this in just minutes!

If you want to add sprinkles (or any other garnish) to the rims of your glasses, simply brush the rims in a little of the simple syrup, put sprinkles on a small plate, and holding glass upside-down, roll rim of glass in sprinkles to coat.

Now, pour vodka and simple syrup into an ice-filled shaker and shake well.

And pour that mixture into an ice-filled glass. Top with soda water.

If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can simply pour the vodka and simple syrup into ice-filled glass and stir together before topping with soda water.

You can garnish your candy corn cocktail with more candy corn if you want by either sprinkling some over the top of the drink or adhering to a skewer.

Just an FYI that it's incredibly difficult to actually skewer candy corn as it will just fall apart. I ended up gluing mine to my cocktail skewers.

As I've said, this drink tastes EXACTLY like candy corn. Because it essentially IS candy corn, dissolved down into a syrup and mixed into a vodka soda.

    How to Make a Mocktail

Of course, there's probably a lot about this drink that will appeal to your kids. Luckily, it's easy to transform into a homemade candy corn soda that's perfect for serving to kids. Simply leave out the vodka!

You should never put soda water in a cocktail shaker, so I recommend simply pouring the syrup into an ice-filled glass, topping with soda water, and stirring.

You can adjust the amount of simple syrup you use based on how strong you want the candy corn flavor and how much sugar you want in the drink.
